About The Role
FTI Consulting Brussels is looking for a Consultant to join our growing Healthcare and Life Science team. If you are looking to work in a dynamic and thriving team that crosses multiple issues facing the healthcare sector, then this is the position for you. Our Healthcare and Life Science practice in Brussels has been firmly established for several years with a range of clients across pharmaceutical companies, fast growing biotech, medical devices companies, digital health start-ups as well as leading EU and international healthcare trade associations, NGOs and patient organisations, and our ambition is to grow it further.
As a Consultant in the Brussels healthcare practice, you will work on different client accounts, support senior colleagues in building new business opportunities and be involved in day-to-day support of operations.
What You'll Do
- Deliver to clients: Monitor institutional and regulatory developments for client files; undertake research and draft reports and provide analysis on policy developments; drive client programmes forward with day-to-day support of operations
- Build the business: Help develop the team and contribute to wider marketing initiatives to positively position the firm and practice in the market
- Team involvement: Work alongside senior colleagues on building development activities such as pitch preparation and delivery; manage client projects and accounts and actively drive the business forward
- Networking: build connections in the industry through networks with EU contacts and stakeholders as well as potential clients.
How You'll Grow
You will have the opportunity to work in some of the most challenging and fascinating public policy issues currently being tackled in Europe in FTI's Healthcare and Lifesciences practice. You will have the opportunity to lead or take a leading role in a range of substantial client accounts and business development projects, expanding your strategic acumen and commercial drive and skillset. As a senior member of the team, you will be able to further develop your ability to develop, motivate and support the growth of team members. You will be part of a dynamic and multinational team of experts based in Brussels and you will be able to work closely with other FTI offices and segments - expanding your personal insight and contacts within our global network, covering the full suite of business and management consulting professionals.
What You Will Need To Succeed
- Proven skills and interest in public affairs, advocacy, communication and reputation management across Healthcare issues.
- Good understanding and experience of working with policymakers and stakeholders in Brussels and in national capitals to further strategic objectives.
- Strong research, analytical and writing skills with a focus on detail and delivery.
- Good organisation and presentation skills with a keenness for client and project management.
- Ability to digest and summarise information to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Great team spirit and determination.
Basic Qualifications
- Strong academic background.
- Knowledge of the Healthcare & Lifesciences sector, regulation and policy discussions.
- Experience in-house, in a trade body, in a public institution, or advising clients on policy and communications issues.
- Excellent English language skills with one or two additional languages preferable.
